We are looking for an in-house HR & Payroll Specialist to work from our corporate office (located close to Halcyon and Windward Parkway in Alpharetta, GA).

Do you speak at least an intermediate level of Spanish to communicate effectively with our workforce? We would love to have you on our team! We're on the lookout for a friendly Payroll & Onboarding Specialist to join us at our corporate office.

You will…


  • Process weekly full-cycle multistate payroll for 250+ staffing employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance
  • Process daily onboarding packets (including offer letters, E-Verify, drug screening, background checks, etc.)
  • Manage employee benefit enrollments, changes, and deductions
  • Manage time and labor software to collect accurate data from the field
  • Handle wage garnishments, child support orders, employee terminations, employment verifications, and unemployment insurance claims
  • Coordinate with the outside payroll provider to ensure timely and accurate tax filings, deposits, and reporting
  • Enter and approve payroll adjustments such as raises, bonuses, commissions, and other compensation changes
  • Manage PTO and state-mandated sick leave policies, including accruals and payouts
  • Manage electronic employee file database
  • Manage worker's compensation claims
  • Perform additional tasks as needed to support payroll operations and compliance

Required Education

A college or university degree is not required; however, candidates should possess the relevant knowledge, skills, and experience acquired through practical work. We gladly accept two different experience pathways (see below):


  • Experience Level 1: High school diploma with at least five (5) years’ recent experience processing full-cycle multi-state payroll for over 100 employees AND onboarding.

OR


  • Experience Level 2: College degree or higher with at least two (2) years' recent experience processing full-cycle multi-state payroll for over 100 employees AND onboarding.

Required Skills & Abilities


  • Intermediate Spanish skills to communicate more effectively with our workforce about payroll and benefit issues
  • Strong understanding of payroll software and databases (ADP WFN, Avionte, etc.)
  • Advanced knowledge of payroll regulations, tax laws, and benefit administration
  • Advanced knowledge of the employment onboarding process and compliance laws
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
