**Job Overview:**

We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Backend Engineer to join our team at Ava. As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the backend infrastructure of our cutting-edge communication platform. You will work closely with our cross-functional team to ensure seamless integration of frontend and backend systems, while also playing a key role in optimizing the performance and scalability of our platform.

**Responsibilities:**

- Design, develop, and implement backend services and APIs

- Collaborate with frontend engineers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic

- Optimize the performance and scalability of backend systems

- Troubleshoot and debug backend issues

- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in backend development

- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the overall growth of the team

**Requirements:**

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field

- 5+ years of experience in backend development

- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Node.js

- Strong understanding of database management systems, such as SQL or NoSQL

- Experience with cloud services, such as AWS or Google Cloud Platform

- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

- Ability to work effectively in a remote team environment
