Safety and quality workmanship is our number 1 priority, the Field Technician will perform AV installations and service existing customer AV equipment. This equipment ranges from simple conference rooms to Emergency operation centers and control rooms. This candidate will work with a team of field service engineers and project managers. However, this candidate must be a motivated individual who is capable of working on their own and capable of speaking directly to customers.

Experience Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent Associated Technical trade school Diploma or College Diploma (Preferred)
  • Minimum of 2 years Experience in the AV industry.
  • Experience interpreting schematics to install equipment, interconnect cables, and neatly dressing wire in equipment rack Control system platform experience (i.e. Crestron, etc) a plus Passion and Interest in learning the high-end audiovisual trade
  • Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds, climb ladders, crawl in confined spaces, etc.
  • Ability to travel to local client sites; ability to work at heights, on lifts & ladders required.
  • Essential Duties & Responsibilities: (Candidate will receive company-sponsored, on-the-job training by the field engineer and/or project manager. With this training, the candidate will be expected to gain an in-depth knowledge of and proficiency in completing the following tasks.)
  • Positive and effective interaction with internal and external clients and other trades.
  • Delivery of equipment and associated responsibilities.
  • Safe use of hand and power tools.
  • Proper mounting of custom wall displays.
  • Terminate wire and install low voltage plates.
  • Install and connect automation/control systems (i.e. Crestron/etc.), and distributed audio/video components.
  • Performance of service tasks in a timely and quality-conscious manner. Such tasks include but are not limited to: assisting with/managing pulling new structured wiring, installation of connectors, TV/projector mounting, punching down of category cable into keystone jacks, etc.
  • Rough-In and trim out low voltage wire.
  • Cleanly punch down and terminate a variety of low voltage cables in an efficient and professional manner.
  • Read and interpret construction and AV drawings.
