Who we're looking for: You're self-managed and driven. You work well without direct supervision—but you're not afraid to ask questions and you communicate often and effectively. You have a professional presence with our clients. You have experience as an Accounting Clerk/Assistant and/or Bookkeeper. You are computer-literate and learn quickly. You live in or close to the Metro Detroit area, and you work well without a fixed office environment (i.e. Traveling between client offices and/or working from home). You have great relationships with colleagues and past employers who can testify to your work ethic and talents.

Responsibilities: This is a part-time position with the possibility of growing to full-time after a probationary period. The Accounting Associate will support the Accounting Manager by performing bookkeeping, data entry, and basic accounting functions for Aura’s clients. They will also support the client advisor by providing administrative services at client offices in the Metro Detroit area. This is a hybrid role and close proximity to the Metro Detroit area is required. Responsibilities include:

• Organize and update financial records in QuickBooks Online
• Generate invoices and track payables
• Prepare reports and trial balances
• Office duties such as data entry and file organization
• Run errands in the Metro Detroit area
• Other administrative duties as assigned

Candidate requirements:

• QuickBooks Pro Advisor certification - or willingness to complete certification upon being hired.
• QuickBooks Online experience
• Preferred QuickBooks Desktop experience
• Proficient use of Microsoft Office 365 tools, specifically Excel and Teams
• Driver’s License and reliable transportation
