Auburn Day School is looking for warm, dependable, energetic Assistant Teachers to join our team!

ADS is a hands-on, STEM-focused private school in Auburn serving ages 11 months through Kindergarten through concept-based curriculum, hands-on instruction and intentionally designed learning experiences. Assistant Teachers work alongside our Lead Teachers to help create safe, engaging classrooms where children can learn, explore, and grow.

What You'll Do

• Support the Lead Teacher throughout the school day
• Engage with children during hands-on learning, play, centers, outdoor time, meals, and transitions
• Help maintain a safe, organized, welcoming school
• Model kind, professional communication with children, families, and coworkers
• Assist with classroom routines, supervision, cleaning and preparation

We're Looking For Someone Who Is

• Dependable and punctual
• Warm, patient, and comfortable working with young children
• Energetic and willing to actively participate in the classroom
• Professional in communication and appearance
• Able to follow directions while also taking initiative
• Interested in learning and growing as an early childhood educator

Experience with children is helpful, but we also welcome college students and candidates who are eager to learn.

Schedule: Part-time positions are available, primarily on weekday mornings from 7:15 a.m.–12:15 p.m., afternoons from 11:30 a.m.–3:45 p.m., or afterschool from 2:30–5:30 p.m. Exact schedules vary based on our current classroom needs and applicant availability.

For college students and early-career educators, this position is also a valuable opportunity to gain meaningful experience in a highly regarded early childhood setting.
