🚀About ATTN Agency

ATTN Agency (pronounced Attention Agency) is a boutique, performance-driven digital marketing agency trusted by e-commerce and DTC brands looking to scale profitably. We specialize in full-funnel growth across Google, Meta, and emerging platforms — with a laser focus on ROAS, new customer acquisition, and incremental revenue.

We don’t just manage emails. We build scalable systems for sustainable growth — and we’re selective about who we work with and who we hire. If you’re obsessed with performance, welcome home.

The Role: Lifecycle & Retention Marketing Strategist

We’re looking for a Retention Marketing Strategist to help bring high-performing email and SMS campaigns to life across a portfolio of eCommerce brands. You’ll support key moments in the customer journey—planning and launching campaigns, setting up automations, tracking performance, and collaborating with internal teams to make sure every message aligns with strategy and brand voice.

You’ll be hands-on in Klaviyo and other retention platforms, with opportunities to learn from senior team members, contribute ideas, and grow into a more strategic role over time.

What You’ll Be Doing

📩 Strategy & Campaign Planning (50%)

  • Help shape and execute lifecycle roadmaps (email, SMS, direct mail, loyalty) across multiple eCommerce brands
  • Maintain 30-day marketing calendars that align with product launches, promotions, and paid-media pushes
  • Write clear, brand-aligned copy briefs and flow outlines—tailoring voice and messaging for each client
  • Build customer segments and journeys to improve engagement, conversion, and retention
  • Use platform data and AI tools to uncover new testing ideas, timing strategies, and content themes

📊 Optimization & Channel Innovation (30%)

  • Monitor account health—engagement, CVR, RPR, cohort LTV—and surface trends or anomalies
  • Execute A/B tests across creative, cadence, offers, and segmentation
  • Identify opportunities to test loyalty programs, push notifications, or in-app messaging where applicable
  • Track and share performance insights to help optimize future campaigns and flows

🛠 Execution & Project Management (20%)

  • Collaborate with Retention Coordinators for campaign and flow builds—review, QA, and troubleshoot as needed
  • Coordinate with internal copy and design teams to ensure asset delivery and deadlines are met in ClickUp
  • Occasionally support hands-on builds during heavy periods or quick turnarounds
  • Stay organized across multiple client accounts, tasks, and timelines with support from senior team members

🤝 Client Collaboration

  • Join monthly or bi-weekly client calls (Account Managers lead) to present strategy, insights, and testing roadmaps
  • Deliver concise, data-driven performance summaries that highlight wins, gaps, and next steps
  • Partner with Account Managers to ensure retention plans dovetail seamlessly with broader growth initiatives

What We’re Looking For (Qualifications)

✔ 2+ years of email-marketing experience

✔ 1+ years of SMS-marketing experience

✔ Experience managing multiple eCommerce accounts (ideally in a client-facing capacity)

✔ Hands-on Klaviyo skills: campaigns, flows, segmentation, deliverability, basic reporting

✔ Working knowledge of HTML/CSS for email troubleshooting (preferred)

✔ Understanding of full-funnel marketing, LTV cohorts, and core lifecycle KPIs (OR, CTR, CVR, RPR)

✔ Ability to apply basic segmentation, tracking pixels, merge tags, and dynamic content

✔ Strong copywriting and creative-brief skills

✔ Excellent time-management and communication; comfortable juggling competing priorities

Nice-to-Haves

➕ Direct-mail platform familiarity (PostPilot, Lob, etc.)

➕ Prior agency experience

➕ Push-notification or mobile-app messaging exposure

➕ Shopify, GA4, Triple Whale, or Northbeam experience

📈 Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Strategically lead 5–7 mid-market or growth-stage client accounts
  • Maintain 30+ day lead time for campaign and flow planning
  • Keep client churn rate below 10%
  • Drive noticeable YoY account growth across retention channels
  • Maintain healthy attributed revenue across email, SMS, and direct mail based on client goals and benchmarks
