As a Social Media Specialist at ASM, you will play a crucial role in our mission to empower student-athletes through effective online presence and engagement. You will manage and execute our social media strategy across various platforms, build brand awareness, and engage with our target audience. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and rapidly growing field while positively impacting student-athletes lives.


As a Social Media Manager, some of your daily responsibilities will include:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy to drive engagement, increase brand visibility, and attract our target audience
  • Create and curate compelling and relevant content for various social media platforms, including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and LinkedIn
  • Create and manage the social media content calendar, scheduling posts and monitoring engagement to optimize posting times and frequency
  • Monitor trends and developments in the NCAA sports recruiting industry and incorporate them into our social media strategy
  • Interact with followers, respond to comments and messages, and maintain a positive and authentic online presence
  • Collaborate with the marketing and content teams to ensure social media content aligns with overall marketing goals and messaging
  • Analyze social media performance using analytics tools and make data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement
  • Stay up-to-date with social media trends, algorithms, and best practices
  • Assist current clients with their online ASM profiles and videos so that they align with what coaches are looking for
  • Maintain regular communication with ASM's Operations Director to discuss social media strategy, content plans, and other relevant matters

You will excel in this role if you:

  • Proven experience in social media management, preferably in the sports or recruiting industry
  • Passion for sports and a genuine desire to help student-athletes succeed
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently

What we would like to see from you:

  • Experience producing and managing content in Adobe Creative Cloud, specifically Adobe Express
  • Experience producing and managing content with Canva
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms, algorithms, and best practices
  • Proven history of proficiency with social media scheduling and analytics tools like Hootsuite, HubSpot, Amplitude, or Airbridge
  • Experience managing and configuring Meta Business Suite
  • Experience using CMS tools like Webflow, WordPress, or Drupal
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Basic to intermediate graphic design skills
  • Creative mindset with the ability to develop engaging and visually appealing content
  • Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations related to recruiting
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field
