Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and support a team of ELA teachers in delivering instruction for grades 1–8 using the provided curriculum.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for ELA teachers, providing guidance, support, and resources as needed.
• Monitor and evaluate the progress of both teachers and students, offering feedback and strategies to address challenges.
• Facilitate regular team meetings to align teaching strategies, share best practices, and address concerns.
• Ensure that all ELA teachers maintain classroom management and create a positive, inclusive environment for students.
• Assist in the development of assessments and ensure alignment with the curriculum.
• Coordinate with program staff and program leadership to ensure that program goals are met.
• Maintain regular communication with parents and guardians regarding student progress, when necessary.
• Participate in planning, training sessions, and staff development activities as required.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in education, English, or a related field required; Master’s preferred.
• Valid teaching certification in ELA or elementary/middle grades education.
• Proven experience teaching ELA to students in grades 1–8.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
• Exceptional organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to implement and adapt the provided curriculum while addressing the diverse needs of students.
• Experience in mentoring or coaching teachers is a plus.

Schedule & Compensation:

• Program runs from June 16, 2025, to August 1, 2025; hours are 9 am to 2 pm every Monday through Friday (except holidays).
• Competitive pay based on experience and qualifications.
