The Candidate Services Director is responsible for supporting Democratic Assembly Candidates and Members in safe seats. This role reports directly to the Deputy Executive Director and will manage our ongoing candidate training program for safe seat candidates and members. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with 1-2 cycles of experience who is passionate about helping Democratic candidates run strong, organized campaigns all across the state.

We’re working to elect Democrats to the Wisconsin Assembly like our democracy depends on it. The Assembly Democratic Campaign Committee (ADCC) is the logistical hub for both incumbent Democratic members of the Assembly and prospective candidates. The ADCC’s resources are used exclusively to assist Assembly candidates and their campaign organizations.

The Wisconsin Assembly Democratic Campaign Committee (WI ADCC) is the only Democratic organization solely focused on recruiting, training, and electing Democrats to the Wisconsin State Assembly. With new legislative maps, we are fighting for a Democratic Majority in 2026!


Candidate Services Director Role:

The Candidate Services Director is responsible for supporting Democratic Assembly candidates and Members in safe seats. They will manage our ongoing candidate training program for safe seat candidates and members. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with 1-2 cycles of experience who is passionate about helping Democratic candidates run strong, organized campaigns all across the state.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the point of contact to incumbents and candidates in safe seats on day-to-day campaign questions, operations support, and assistance with all aspects of their campaign, including but not limited to: canvassing, fundraising, and budgeting
  • Holding assigned candidates and incumbents accountable to their campaign plans, including canvassing and fundraising goals, and reporting to the Deputy Executive Director


Qualifications

Qualified candidates must be highly organized, able to multitask, prioritize, manage multiple deadlines, and able to work in a fast-paced environment. An ideal Regional Campaigns Director will possess: 

  • At least one (1) cycle of paid campaign management of a state legislative race
  • Quick problem-solving skills and solutions-oriented mindset. Must be able to take, give, and implement feedback
  • Ability to manage multiple projects/deadlines at once and keep calm in stressful situations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment
  • Reliable access to a computer and personal transportation is required
  • Be a representative of the Assembly Democratic Campaign Committee and our policies, including neutrality as directed


Location:

The Candidate Services Director must be willing to relocate to Madison within 30 days of start date, unless otherwise agreed to by ADCC Deputy Executive Director, ADCC Executive Director, and Leadership. We are hiring for the following regions:


Physical Requirements

  • Working from a computer for long periods of time;
  • Flexibility to work extensive hours outside of normal operations hours;
  • Statewide travel is expected while following public health safety measures


Compensation:

The salary range for this position is $60-$70k annually depending on qualifications and experience. All caucus staff are provided with a full health care benefits package, including vision and dental as well as a 401k after six months of employment.
