About the Assembly Democratic Campaign Committee: The Wisconsin Assembly

Democratic Campaign Committee (WI ADCC) is the only Democratic organization solely focused on recruiting, training, and electing Democrats to the Wisconsin State Assembly.


Campaigns Director Role: The Campaigns Director is responsible for overseeing the

execution of individual targeted campaigns, managing regional campaign staff and campaign managers, and building and executing campaign weekly and monthly campaign goals. They should be forward-thinking, strategic, and skilled in managing multiple priorities simultaneously while maintaining keen attention to detail. This position is ideal for previous campaign managers and/or those who have served in a previous role interacting with candidates and/or managing campaign staff.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Recruit, hire and manage campaign managers and field staff to work on the ground in targeted Assembly races across the state; provide ongoing guidance and regular check-ins
  • Collaboratively establish and clearly communicate weekly and monthly goals to campaign managers for doors knocked, volunteers recruited, fundraisers scheduled, and other priorities as needed
  • Create and implement systems for tracking campaign metrics to be used by campaign managers and draft weekly reports on progress for Executive Director and Leadership
  • Provide ongoing logistic and strategic support to campaigns, including field, VAN, fundraising, communications, and candidate management advice to campaign managers
  • Serve as a liaison to DPW coordinated committee field staff, and ensure they are working effectively with campaign managers on the ground
  • Assist Executive Director, other caucus staff, consultant team, and partners to help campaigns develop and execute communication and campaign plans
  • Assist Executive Director with candidate recruitment and qualifying for the ballot
  • On year requirements include working outside of normal work hours; including canvassing and other election-preparation as necessary.
  • Additional responsibilities as required to support winning Assembly campaigns


Qualifications: Qualified candidates must be highly organized, able to multitask, prioritize, and manage multiple deadlines, and able to work in a fast-paced environment. An ideal Campaigns Director candidate will possess:

  • At least two cycles of paid campaign experience; prior campaign management or senior staffer experience are preferred
  • Experience using NGP/VAN, ActBlue, and other campaign software (Google Suite, Mobilize, Every Action, Action Network, etc.)
  • Able to build relationships, trust, and rapport with a variety of stakeholders
  • Quick problem-solving skills and solutions-oriented mindset. Must be able to take, give, and implement feedback
  • Ability to prioritize and meet competing deadlines and keep calm in stressful situations
  • Ability to manage and maintain highly confidential and sensitive information
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment
  • Reliable access to a computer and personal transportation is required
  • Be a representative of the Assembly Democratic Campaign Committee and our policies, including neutrality as directed.

  • Working from a computer for long periods of time;
  • Flexibility to work extensive hours outside of normal operating hours;
  • Statewide travel, including travel to Assembly districts, will be required


Compensation:

Salary range for this position is $75,000-$85,000 annually depending on qualifications and

experience. All caucus staff are provided with a full health care benefits package, including

vision and dental.
