The Digital Media Producer is a vital member of the Creative Communications team, responsible for producing high-quality video content that enhances the visibility and engagement of the church across all worship venues and online platforms. This role involves capturing live worship services, ministry events, and other aspects of church life, translating them into compelling stories that resonate with the Asbury Family and the broader community. The Digital Media Producer will collaborate closely with the creative team to support and execute the church’s overall communication strategy. This position requires expertise in video production, editing, and storytelling, along with a strong understanding of social media trends and strategies to maximize online engagement. The ideal candidate will bring both technical skills in filming and post-production, and a creative vision for communicating Asbury’s message effectively.

Description

Responsibilities:  

Mobile Worship Production

  • Record and edit weekly video announcements, Mobile Worship hosts, and pastor sermons.
  • Manage music licensing platforms.
  • Schedule live services.
  • Overlay message archives with audio using video recordings from Traditional & Contemporary Worship venues.

Video Coverage

  • Sunday coverage for each worship venue once monthly.
  • Support for Baptism Sundays, Life at Asbury Lunches, and other special services outside of Sunday morning. 
  • Other ministry events as needed. 

Editing (as needed)

  • Edited footage for use on social platforms & in worship services.

Social Media Strategy

  • Collaborate with the Creative Team to set engagement goals.


Qualifications:

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in media or communications or at least five years of relevant video production experience.
  • Expertise in Adobe Premiere and Final Cut Pro.
  • Skills in Illustrator and Adobe After Effects are an advantage.
  • Competent in operating a Blackmagic camera or similar equipment.
  • Experience in producing video content for Facebook and Instagram.

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Preference for familiarity with large church operations.
  • Skilled in capturing engaging b-roll footage to highlight events and for promotional purposes.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to create a comfortable environment for subjects to share their stories; interviewing abilities are advantageous.


Classification

Full-time, hourly non-exempt, limited benefits as outlined in the employee guide. 30 hours weekly.
