Works collaboratively with the Weekday Administration and staff to fully support the vision and mission of Asbury Church. Weekday teachers work collaboratively with fellow staff members to foster a positive, nurturing, and safe environment where each child can grow their relationship with God.

Description

Responsibilities 

  • Planning and implementing Weekday approved curriculum
  • Managing assigned classroom alongside a teaching partner
  • Collaborating with age group teachers once per month
  • Building relationships with students' families and finding ways to connect those without a church home to Asbury.

Qualifications 

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma, college degree a plus

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Must fully support the vision and mission of Asbury Church
  • Must have a growing love relationship with Jesus
  • Must have a love and passion for preschool children in developing their spiritual, emotional, and intellectual development
  • Experience working with children in a teaching environment
  • Must possess interpersonal and communication skills
  • Must have demonstrated leadership skills
  • Must possess basic computer and office skills needed for the day-to-day operation that Microsoft 365

Classification and Hours

  • Part-time, hourly nonexempt, limited benefits as outlined in the employee guide, approx. 10-25 hours weekly.
  • 10-month (August-May) position
