The Asbury Kids Preschool Ministry Coordinator works with the staff team, volunteer coaches, and preschool volunteers to help foster a program in which kids learn to spend time with God, spend time with others, use their gifts, and share their stories, with a special emphasis on prayer. The Preschool Coordinator will develop a wholistic preschool ministry strategy that includes Sunday morning and other experiences, keeping developmental growth and partnership with parents in mind. 

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Recruit, train, and cultivate Sunday Morning preschool teams/subs (3 years through Kindergarten).
• Communicate regularly with volunteer leadership and group leaders regarding ministry needs and expectations.
• Create a holistic preschool ministry that prepares kids for elementary school. Write Sunday morning preschool curriculum in collaboration with the Director of Asbury Kids.

Education and Experience:

• High School diploma required; B.S./B.A. desired
• One year experience (paid or volunteer) in a children’s ministry

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Solid grounding in Scripture; evidence of a vital and growing relationship with Jesus Christ
• Working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and office automation products
• A love for children
• Ability to get along with others, including parents and adult and student volunteers
• Excellent organizational and verbal and written communication skills
