The Mental Health Therapist provides high-quality mental health services to individuals, families, and/or groups within an outpatient setting. This role is responsible for conducting biopsychosocial assessments, formulating treatment plans, and delivering evidence-based therapeutic interventions to address mental health, behavioral health, and co-occurring concerns. The therapist works collaboratively with clients to support their goals, monitors progress, and adjusts care as needed. In addition, the Mental Health Therapist ensures compliance with clinical, ethical, and documentation standards, and actively participates in supervision, team meetings, and professional development opportunities.

Description

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments, including DSM-5 risk assessments, and create individualized treatment plans.
  • Deliver outpatient mental health and substance use services through individual, couples, family, group, and crisis counseling.
  • Apply evidence-based practices aligned with Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) standards.
  • Collaborate with Arukah’s integrative care team and participate in supervision, training, and professional development.
  • Maintain professional accountability, contribute as a team member, and perform additional duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in a behavioral/social science field from an accredited college or university required.
  • LSW/LCSW or LCP/LCPC licensure in the state of Illinois (preferred).
  • Formal training and experience in addiction counseling, suicide prevention, and/or trauma informed care desired.

 

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Pay Range: $60,000-$80,922.41 per year
