Description

About Arena

Arena is a vetted network for leaders across sports, media and entertainment.

About the Role

You'll run Arena's day-to-day presence across LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, and Threads, and make most of what goes on them. This is a role for someone creative, proactive, and comfortable publishing content on social media.

Responsibilities

  • Own the posting calendar across all four platforms, from draft to scheduled to live
  • Create graphics and cut event footage/member stories/founder POV clips into vertical video that holds attention
  • Manage community replies, comments, DMs, and showing up in comment sections
  • Track competitive research for content and trend inspiration
  • Write a simple weekly performance recap: what worked, what flopped, what's next
  • Capture content at events, virtual and in person (NYC-local a plus), with fast turnaround

Requirements

  • Genuinely native on at least two of our social platforms, with work to show (personal account, campus org, club, brand - all count)
  • Can create graphics and edit videos yourself in Descript, CapCut, Premiere, Canva, Photoshop - whatever your favorite creative tools are
  • Has taste and can explain it - "this works because" is the sentence we care about
  • Curious about sports, media, or entertainment business as a career, not just as a fan
  • Genuinely detail-obsessed - you triple-check for typos before posting anything
  • Can manage your own deadlines on a remote team

Preferred Qualifications

  • Passionate about building a career in the business of sports, media, or entertainment
  • Has a constant pulse on the business side of sports and entertainment, not just the fan-facing headlines
  • Track record growing an account from small to bigger
  • Open to feedback and quick to turn around edits
  • Videography and/or photography experience

Benefits

  • Real impact: Direct, hands-on feedback from Arena's founders on your pitches, your content, and your career. Leave with a portfolio of published work and multiple social channels you helped build, not just a line on a resume.
  • Direct mentorship: Dedicated 1-on-1 support from Arena’s founders on how to optimize your resume, cover letter, and interview prep - for whatever's next. Past interns have gone on to secure offers at the NBA, NFL, LA Lakers, AKA Agency, Beasley Media Group, and beyond.
  • Work from anywhere: Fully remote.
  • School credit: Available if your program supports it.
  • $300 stipend: Paid out at the end of your internship.

Salary

$300 - $300 per year
