About Arena
Arena is a vetted network connecting leaders across sports, media, and entertainment.
The Role
We're looking for a sharp, curious writer with a journalism background to tell the stories that matter most to Arena -- the people, companies, and moments shaping sports, media & entertainment. This isn't a content mill role. You'll do real reporting, conduct interviews with Arena members, and produce editorial work we're genuinely proud of. You'll also translate that work into short-form content for social.
What You'll Work On
- Interviewing Arena members and writing longform profiles and feature stories
- Producing case studies that show how Arena members are winning
- Writing journalistic pieces on trends, events, and culture within sports, media & entertainment
- Adapting your own stories into punchy captions and short-form copy for Instagram and LinkedIn
- Contributing ideas to the editorial calendar -- we want your pitches, not just your execution
What We're Looking For
- Current undergraduate or graduate student studying journalism, communications, English, or a related field
- Strong reported writing samples -- published work (student newspaper, blog, bylines anywhere) is a plus
- Ability to interview people, find the story, and write it with a real voice
- Comfortable writing in multiple formats and lengths
- Someone who asks "why does this matter?" before they start writing
- Bonus: familiarity with SEO basics, newsletter writing, or audio/video storytelling
Logistics
- Summer 2026, June - August (dates flexible based on your schedule)
- Part-time or full-time hours, we'll work with you
- $300 stipend; academic credit available
- Fully remote (U.S. based)
