Description

About Arena

Arena is the only private network for leaders across sports, media and entertainment. Members get three curated introductions every week, plus member-only events and career design workshops. We believe the right introduction changes everything.

We're a founder-led team of three (Parul, Adriene and Olivia). That means two things for you: the work you do actually ships, and you'll be sitting close enough to the founders to see how the decisions get made.

The role

You'll help produce the Arena newsletter and the emails that go to our members, and you'll report and write the member stories that fill them. This is a writing and reporting role with a production backbone.

What you'll own

  • The Arena weekly newsletter: pitching, drafting, editing and producing issues
  • Member-facing email: event invites, onboarding sequences, event recaps, re-engagement nudges. Warm and human, never corporate.
  • Member spotlights: You'll get a busy executive on a 20-minute call and come back with a story worth reading.
  • Build and QA every send: subject lines, preview text, links, personalization tags, test sends before anything goes out
  • The editorial calendar and a running bank of story ideas and member leads
  • Performance tracking on opens, clicks and replies, plus a short read on what's driving them

You're a good fit if

  • You write clean, warm copy that sounds like a person, and you take edits fast and without ego.
  • You have reporting instincts. You can find the interesting thing in someone's career and ask the follow-up question.
  • You are genuinely detail obsessed. A broken link in a send to thousands of members is a bad day for everyone.
  • You're curious about sports, media or entertainment as industries.
  • You can manage your own deadlines on a remote team.

Nice to have

Mailchimp or a comparable ESP, student publication or newsletter experience, basic SEO, comfort with a spreadsheet.

What you get

Published bylines and a portfolio of shipped campaigns, direct editing from the founders, and a real look at how a membership business grows through the written word.

Compensation

Interns get a $300 stipend at the end of their internship and Arena swag to rock on campus.

Salary

$300 - $300 per year
