Arcadia Strategy Group (ASG) is seeking a seeking a Spanish Interpreter for a Federal Government Customer in the Northern Virginia area. Applicants to the role must have an existing TS/SCI + polygraph and professional proficiency in the foreign language in speaking, reading and listening skills. Applicant must be willing to travel.
Job Responsibilities
The Spanish language interpreter must provide high-caliber bi-directional Spanish to English interpretation, translation, and transcription for high-level engagements and exchanges. Interpreter must be open to travel. Portuguese language in addition to Spanish language is also desired.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Must possess an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph
- 2+ years of language or interpretation support experience
- Professional proficiency in foreign language speaking, reading, and listening skills (level 3+ and/or above) and ability to pass a Spanish language exam
- Ability to pass an English language exam
- M.A in interpretation and translation obtained in U.S. or in country of language skill and/or Federal court interpretation certification, or equivalent is preferred
- Ability to work as a team.
- Ability to give/receive constructive feedback on translation reviews.
- Ability to type no less than 45wpm in English and in the target language.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
- Medically cleared to travel and willingness to travel for mission needs
- Must have cultural knowledge and be knowledgeable in current events for their region
- Portuguese language in addition to Spanish language would be preferred
