Arcadia Strategy Group (ASG) is seeking a Science Advisor to support a Government Customer. The Science Advisor will support the Counterintelligence Programs by independently developing and leading analytical initiatives aimed at identifying foreign intelligence threats posed to the most sensitive technologies .

Arcadia Strategy Group (ASG) is seeking a Science Advisor to support a Government Customer. 

Primary Responsibilities: Serve as Science Advisor to support the Counterintelligence Program; specific duties include, but are not limited to:

·       Independently develop and lead analytical initiatives aimed at identifying foreign intelligence threats posed to the most sensitive technologies within the


·       Serve as subject matter expert to support CI analysts and investigators on topics involving advanced science and technology issues to ensure CI-related assessments are technically and scientifically sound. 

·       Engage program personnel and scientists as needed to gather relevant science and technology inputs to support the CI program. 

·       Independently research, conceptualize, assess and recommend modifications to innovative projects designed to enhance products through scientific and technical means. 

·       Provide senior level consultative services as required throughout the Department, as well as inter-departmentally, to policy and technical groups or organizations. 

·       Assess assignments which concentrate on the limitation of proven concepts and the practices of broad and complex areas where issues and factors to be considered are largely undefined and require extensive probing and analysis to determine the nature and scope of the problems. 

·       Develop liaison contacts within the United States Counterintelligence and Intelligence Communities to develop analysis that supports the objectives and goals of the CI Program. 

·       Serve as technical expert for the sharing of science-related counterintelligence information. 

·       Make oral presentations which convey ideas, facts, conclusions, estimates, and projections to a variety of United States Counterintelligence and Intelligence Community personnel. 


·       Individual must possess at least fifteen (15) years of experience conducting advanced research or working in their selected field, interfacing with world-class research and engineering organizations, and have subject matter expertise in an area of national security science and technology such as nuclear weapons development, design or engineering. 

·       Individual should possess collateral understanding of emerging science and technology areas (electro-optical/laser, accelerators, advanced materials science, nanotechnologies, quantum technologies, artificial intelligence, etc.) sufficient to discuss CI relevant issues with scientific experts. 

·       Must have a thorough understanding of the dual-use nature of technologies and be able to identify potential nefarious use of legitimately obtained technology. 

·       Individual to have current knowledge of the mission, structure, and key intelligence programs of the USIC, as well as international political, economic, and military matters as they impact U.S. national security issues.

·       Demonstrated evidence of excellent oral and written communication skills and proven ability to perform under pressure to meet tight deadlines.

·       Advanced degree, preferably a Ph.D., from an accredited university or college in a scientific or technical field such as engineering or one of the physical sciences.

·       Experience working with the U.S. National Laboratories is highly desired.

·       Current TS/SCI (polygraph is preferred)
