Arcadia Strategy Group (ASG) is seeking a personal Financial Counselor to support a Federal Government Customer.

Primary Responsibilities:

Serves as a Financial Counselor for a Government Customer. Work locations are in Northern Virginia. There is no remote work option. This position will provide financial counseling services to Government and contractor employees. Specific duties and functions include, but are not limited to, the following:

·      Provide personalized financial counseling to clients, assisting them in managing their finances, reducing debt, and achieving financial goals.

·      Conduct comprehensive financial assessments to evaluate clients' current financial situations, including income, expenses, assets, and liabilities.

·      Develop customized financial plans and strategies tailored to clients' unique circumstances, priorities, and objectives.

·      Offer guidance on budgeting, saving, investing, retirement planning, tax optimization, and risk management to help clients build wealth and financial security.

·      Educate clients on financial concepts, principles, and best practices to improve their financial literacy and decision-making skills.

·      Collaborate with clients to set realistic and achievable financial goals, and provide ongoing support and accountability to help them stay on track.

·      Analyze and recommend appropriate financial products and services, such as insurance policies, investment vehicles, and savings accounts, based on clients' needs and preferences.

·      Stay current with industry trends, regulations, and market developments to provide informed and up-to-date financial advice.

·      Maintain client confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards and professional codes of conduct in all interactions.


·      TS/SCI + polygraph is required.

·      Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, business administration, or a related field. Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CFP, CFA, ChFC) preferred.

·      Proven experience in financial counseling, financial planning, wealth management, or related roles.

·      Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex financial data to develop comprehensive financial plans and recommendations.

·      Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients, understand their needs, and convey financial concepts clearly and effectively.

·      Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with clients to establish realistic financial goals and develop actionable plans to achieve them.

·      Ethical integrity and commitment to acting in clients' best interests, maintaining confidentiality, and upholding professional standards of conduct.
