Primary Responsibilities:

Serve as a Dietician for a Federal Government Customer. Specific duties and functions include, but are not limited to, the following:

·      Conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments of clients, including reviewing medical history, dietary habits, and lifestyle factors.

·      Develop personalized nutrition plans and recommendations based on individual health goals, dietary preferences, and medical conditions.

·      Educate clients on the importance of nutrition for overall health and well-being, and provide guidance on making healthier food choices.

·      Monitor progress and make adjustments to nutrition plans as needed to support their goals and address any challenges or barriers.

·      Provide counseling and support to individuals with specific dietary needs or conditions, such as diabetes, heart disease, food allergies, or eating disorders.

·      Conduct group nutrition education sessions, workshops, and seminars to promote healthy eating habits and prevent nutrition-related diseases.


Qualifications:

·      TS/SCI + polygraph is required.

·      Bachelor's degree in nutrition, dietetics, food science, or a related field from an accredited institution. Master's degree in nutrition or dietetics preferred.

·      State licensure or certification requirements, if applicable, to practice as a dietitian or nutritionist. Ensure compliance with local regulations.

·      In-depth knowledge of nutrition science, including macronutrients, micronutrients, dietary guidelines, and nutritional requirements throughout the lifecycle.

·      Proficiency in assessing individuals' nutritional needs, dietary habits, and health conditions, and developing personalized nutrition plans to address specific goals and concerns.

·      Strong communication and counseling skills to effectively educate and motivate clients about nutrition-related topics, dietary changes, and behavior modification strategies.
