Arcadia Strategy Group (ASG) is seeking a seeking a Dari/Pashto Linguist for a Federal Government Customer in the Northern Virginia area. Applicants to the role must have an existing TS/SCI + polygraph and professional proficiency in the foreign language in speaking, reading and listening skills. Applicant must be willing to conduct occasional travel.

Job Responsibilities

The Dari/Pashto linguist must provide high-caliber bi-directional interpretation, translation, and transcription. Linguist must be open to occasional travel.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Must possess an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
• 5+ years relevant experience.
• Must pass Customer required language test in target language(s).
• Ability to translate and perform consecutive interpretation between English and the source language(s).
• Capable of working in a fast-paced environment with mobility and flexibility.
• Expertise in a variety of topics, including technical, political, and military vocabulary.
• Experience with U.S. immigration is highly desired.
• Understanding a variety of dialects and jargon is a plus.
• Ability to interpret in individual meetings and conference-type settings.
• Simultaneous interpretation skills are a plus, but not required.
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
