Garden Maintenance Crew Member
Location: Poulsbo, WA
Hours: Full-time and part-time currently available
Pay: DOE, entry level starts at $17
Responsibilities:
- Assisting with basic garden maintenance tasks such as weeding, watering, and mulching.
- Learning proper plant care techniques and procedures under the guidance of experienced gardeners.
- Operating and maintaining garden equipment and tools under supervision.
- Participating in seasonal cleanup activities and garden preparations.
- Providing support to senior staff members during landscape projects and installations.
- Communicating effectively with team members and following instructions diligently.
- Demonstrating a strong work ethic and commitment to excellence in all tasks.
Position Requirements:
- Strong ornamental and PNW weed identification skills ideal but not required.
- Willingness to learn and follow instructions.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Can complete physical labor, including bending, lifting, digging, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.
- Reliable transportation and punctuality.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, Monday through Friday. Candidates should be prepared for varying shifts, with some days requiring longer hours, particularly during peak season (May-August), and shorter hours in the off-season (Nov-Feb). Overtime pay is provided for hours worked beyond the standard schedule.
