The story of our company begins in 2015 at our founder's Brooklyn apartment.

For more than six years, we have been designing original textiles in-house and collaborating with artisans in Morocco and Turkey to produce them in small batches. Our collections of pillows and rugs are all handmade from start to finish, and no two are exactly alike.
When our online shop evolved into a brick & mortar store after moving to Austin, TX, we have built a community within East Austin that we continually inspire through events, classes, and giving back.

Hiring an experienced retail sales associate to join our growing interiors-focused retail shop.

• Full time + commission and benefits
• Must be available weekends

• Hands-on experience in a wide range of areas such as merchandising, product styling, social media engagement, and relations with customers and interior designers
• Opportunity for growth within the company in the areas of management, e-commerce, and wholesale

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• CUSTOMER SERVICE - as this is first and foremost the main area of focus within the role
• Greeting all guests upon entry and engaging with them as an ambassador of Apartment F
• Being present, available, and attentive while maintaining a high level of customer service throughout the entire interaction
• Working directly with clientele to determine and understand their needs in order to offer guidance and assistance in their selection of merchandise
• Providing elevated service through personalized attention and fostering ongoing relationships. 
• Keeping up with brand and product knowledge
• Assisting with response to online inquiries from email and social media 
• Fulfillment for online orders placed through e-commerce platform
• Meeting daily, weekly, and monthly sales goals
• Maintaining product displays, inventory stock levels, and overall appearance of the shop
• Assisting with merchandising, product photography, and styling
• Capturing photo and video content for social media

Requirements:

• A love of interior design and knowledge of our brand values: fair trade, ethical production, handmade
• 2-3 years relevant retail experience
• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds (rugs are heavy!)
• Reliability and ability to be a self-starter and work on your own
• Must be a self-starter and have the ability to work in a small team environment
• An outgoing and warm personality

* Knowledge in vintage rugs, textiles, and/or interior design is a huge plus. Familiarity with vintage rugs is not a requirement but candidate must be willing and interested to learn and grow their knowledge.

* Photography/ Photoshop skills are a major plus!
