Anyware Robotics is seeking Robotics Interns with expertise in mechanical/mechatronics to join our team. The position could be seamlessly transferred to full-time if performance is outstanding.


As a Mechanical Intern, you will work with a team of innovative engineers from various high-tech industries to prototype robotic systems. You will have the opportunity to apply your expertise and skills in mechanical, mechatronics, robotics platforms, prototypes, test fixtures, and deliver features for the next generation of robots. You will also work on actuators and sensors to shape our robotic technology. This is a hands-on internship that will provide you with valuable experience in a fast-paced, collaborative, and dynamic start-up environment.


Responsibilities:

  • Collaborating with the hardware team to brainstorm and prototype new ideas and concepts.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams including software engineers, electrical engineers, and industrial designers.
  • Supporting the assembly, testing, and validation of robotic prototypes and products.
  • Assisting in the analysis and optimization of mechanical designs for performance, durability, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Participating in design reviews and providing feedback on mechanical designs.
  • Documenting design iterations, test results, and project progress.
  • Investigating and troubleshooting issues of the robotics system. Develop and implement targeted solutions as well as documentation to reduce potential failures in future.
  • Consistently demonstrate a high level of craftsmanship in all engineering projects, ensuring that every design, part, and assembly is completed to exact specifications.
  • Sharing your knowledge and skills with your teammates, fostering a culture of collaboration, learning, and growth.


Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in fields such as Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Hands-on experience with prototyping tools and shop equipment, including 3D printers, power tools, and hand tools.
  • Previous experience of mechanical design, drawings (SolidWorks), GD&T, building and integration of robotic platforms. Robot manipulation experience is a plus.
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes such as sheet-metal, weldment, machining.
  • Highly motivated teammate with excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Enjoy working in a fast-paced, collaborative, and dynamic start-up environment as part of a small team.
  • Work on a full-time schedule at our office in Fremont.

Salary

$25 - $35 per hour
