Responsibilities
As a Licensed Mental Health Therapist, you will:
- Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments and diagnostic evaluations.
- Develop individualized treatment plans using evidence-based therapeutic approaches.
- Provide individual psychotherapy through in-person and telehealth sessions.
- Treat clients experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, burnout, relationship concerns, grief, life transitions, and other mental health conditions.
- Utilize evidence-based treatment modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing (MI), and trauma-informed interventions.
- Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation, including treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
- Monitor treatment progress and modify interventions based on client needs.
- Collaborate with primary care providers, psychiatrists, schools, and community resources when clinically appropriate.
- Participate in case consultation, supervision, and professional development.
- Maintain HIPAA compliance and ethical standards in accordance with Maryland regulations.
Qualifications
Required
- Active Maryland LGPC or LCPC license
- Master's degree in Counseling or a related behavioral health field
- Minimum one year of clinical experience in private practice, outpatient behavioral health, or community mental health
- Experience providing individual psychotherapy
- Strong diagnostic assessment and treatment planning skills
- Excellent written documentation and communication skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- Commitment to culturally responsive, trauma-informed, client-centered care
