Anera Collective is excited to partner with a beloved, fast-growing fashion brand on their search for a Store Manager to lead their Venice Beach location. This is a rare opportunity to be the face of a brand with a loyal community and real cultural presence, and to shape how that community experiences the store every single day.

Our client is a growth-stage direct-to-consumer fashion brand, operating a thriving e-commerce business alongside a physical retail presence. Known for its distinct style and strong community connection, the brand is looking for a Store Manager who can bring its energy and aesthetic to life in person.
The Role
The Store Manager is the face and heart of our client's Venice Beach store, owning daily operations, team development, and the customer experience while driving sales, styling, and community engagement that bring the brand to life.
What You'll Own
Store Management
- Lead daily opening and closing procedures, ensuring the store is always ready for a great day
- Collaborate with your direct manager on recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing staff development
- Help develop and maintain operational, training, and product knowledge (PK) resources for the team
- Help identify and execute business plans to maximize store performance and growth opportunities
- Track and report sales goals, providing regular coaching and feedback to drive success
- Foster a positive environment where excellent customer service and team rapport are top priorities
Customer Experience
- Be the store's lead stylist, providing personalized style recommendations to customers
- Build lasting relationships with customers by engaging with them, understanding their needs, and offering tailored outfit suggestions
- Foster a welcoming, positive shopping experience for everyone who enters, helping them feel confident and connected to the brand
- Handle phone and Slack inquiries with the same friendly, helpful approach
Styling & Product Knowledge
- Stay on top of fashion trends, fabric details, and styling tips, sharing this knowledge with your team and customers
- Lead by example with your own styling and inspire others to embody the brand's aesthetic
- Be actively involved in product launches, helping the team stay updated on new arrivals and monthly drops
- Work with the Assistant Store Manager (ASM) to oversee fitting rooms, ensuring they're organized, styled, and ready for customers to find their perfect fit
Sales Generation
- Lead the store in sales performance, setting the bar high and inspiring your team to exceed targets
- Take ownership of the sales floor, actively engaging with customers to drive sales and improve the overall customer experience
- Collaborate with the corporate team on strategies to drive traffic through outreach, events, and social media campaigns
- Continually look for new ways to generate events and sales that drive traffic
- Build and maintain a client book with VIP customers, bringing them in for new collections and special promotions
Visual Merchandising
- Take the lead in creating visually compelling displays that highlight the collections and boost sales, and pass that standard down to the store team
- Ensure the store's visual standards are maintained daily, keeping displays fresh and inviting
Social Media
- Be comfortable appearing in videos and social media content to promote the store and connect with the community
- Partner with your direct manager on fun, new ways to connect with the community online
Overall Operations
- Maintain store security by following closing procedures, including ensuring the store is locked, alarms are set, and safes are secured
- Stay on top of inventory, stock control, and shipping with the support of the team
- Work with your direct manager to ensure the store is always tidy, organized, and ready for a successful day
Who You Are
- Minimum of 3 years of leadership experience in a retail environment, ideally in fashion
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to connect with people, both customers and team members
- A driven, self motivated attitude with the ability to inspire others to take on challenges
- A strong passion for styling and selling, with the ability to lead by example
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team, with a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business
- A positive attitude and willingness to tackle any task, no job too big or too small
- Availability to work a 40 hour work week, including nights and holidays when necessary
