Onboard new clients utilizing the office processes and procedures
Collect, examine, and organize evidence and other legal documents for attorney review and case preparation
Maintain the attorney's court calendar at all times so that court dates are not missed.
Draft and proofread correspondence and legal documents, such as pleadings and contracts
Research regulations, laws, and legal articles to assist with the preparation of reports, case files, and pleadings
Manage client billing and invoicing as instructed by the attorney or office manager.
Communicate with clients and witnesses to schedule meetings, interviews, court dates, and depositions.
Manage, organize, and maintain documents in paper or electronic filing systems.
Provide general administrative assistance, such as maintaining the attorney's calendar and making travel arrangements as needed.
Legal research as requested by the attorney or attorneys.
Preparation of motions, position papers and all other pleadings necessary for the defense of a client's case.
Assisting attorney with trial preparation, including preparing evidence subpoenas, witness subpoenas, exhibit binders, ensuring all certified transcripts are ordered on time for trial, coordinating clients, etc.
Assisting the attorney during trial, including but not limited to preparing pleadings, and responses to pleadings prepared by defendants.
