Maintenance Technician

Description

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Maintenance Technician to join our apartment community team. This role is vital to maintaining the property's curb appeal, safety, and functionality. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with general repairs, HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and enjoys working in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Perform routine and preventative maintenance on apartments, amenities, and common areas
  • Respond promptly to service requests and complete work orders efficiently and professionally
  • Diagnose and repair issues with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and appliances
  • Prepare vacant units for new residents, including painting, repairs, and cleaning
  • Ensure the property grounds and facilities remain clean, safe, and well-maintained
  • Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours emergencies
  • Maintain maintenance logs and reports for all completed work
  • Comply with all safety policies and procedures


Qualifications:


  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification preferred
  • 2+ years of maintenance experience, preferably in a residential or multi-family setting
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliance repair
  • Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively
  • Excellent troubleshooting and time-management skills
  • Strong communication and customer service abilities
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation


Physical Requirements:


  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in various weather conditions
  • Frequent walking, standing, bending, and kneeling

Salary
