Anchor Within Counseling is an outpatient group practice looking for an associate Child & Family Therapist with a focus on serving youth ages 8+ and their families. We offer racially-specific and culturally-specific services to everyone, and prioritize care to the Black and Brown community. We are currently hiring for part-time and full-time therapists.

Description

Responsibilities

  • Conduct individual and family therapy sessions using evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, solution-focused, narrative, emotion focused therapy, family systems.
  • Assess clients' mental health needs and develop personalized treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as psychiatrists and social workers, to provide comprehensive care.
  • Complete risk assessments and provide crisis intervention support as needed
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
  • Stay informed about current research and best practices in the field of child and family therapy.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in counseling, social work, or a related field
  • Valid Oregon license to deliver mental health care
  • Experience working with individuals and families in a therapeutic setting
  • Familiarity with medical terminology related to mental health conditions.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to establish rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.

Culturally-Specific Skills Desired

  • Knowledge and ability to serve Black/African and/or Latino populations from a racial trauma lens
  • Willingness to work with clients who ascribe to religious/spiritual beliefs as protective factors
