About the Role
The Director, Client Partnerships - UK & Europe, will oversee key client relationships, drive strategic growth initiatives, and ensure exceptional delivery across integrated marketing engagements. This role combines senior client leadership, commercial growth, operational oversight, and team collaboration. It requires someone who can balance strategic thinking with executional excellence while helping build momentum for the agency across the region.
Responsibilities
Client Leadership & Growth
- Serve as the senior strategic partner across key UK and European client relationships, building trusted long term partnerships grounded in commercial impact and measurable growth.
- Work closely with US leadership and cross functional teams to ensure seamless collaboration across global accounts and opportunities.
- Actively identify and develop new business opportunities across both existing relationships and net new prospects.
- Support agency growth efforts including networking, lead generation, pitch participation, partnership development, and industry relationship building.
- Lead senior client conversations confidently, bringing strategic thinking, commercial awareness, and proactive recommendations to every interaction.
- Act as a strong external representation of the agency within the UK and European market.
Strategic Account Leadership
- Lead the strategic direction of client engagements, ensuring work is insight led, commercially relevant, and tied to business outcomes.
- Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, consumer behaviour, and market shifts to help shape client recommendations and agency thinking.
- Use agency approved AI tools where relevant to support research, planning, insight gathering, and strategic exploration while maintaining strong human judgement and leadership.
- Help clients navigate increasingly complex marketing environments across brand, performance, creative, media, technology, and AI driven transformation.
Delivery & Operational Excellence
- Oversee the successful delivery of integrated campaigns and marketing initiatives across strategy, creative, production, media, and technology.
- Partner closely with Project Management and department leads to ensure timelines, scopes, resources, and deliverables are aligned and achievable.
- Maintain visibility across workstreams, proactively identifying risks, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Ensure teams are aligned, informed, and set up to deliver exceptional work at pace.
- Drive operational excellence across assigned accounts while balancing agility, flexibility, and commercial priorities.
Commercial & Financial Management
- Provide senior oversight on scopes of work, budgets, profitability, forecasting, and commercial performance across accounts.
- Support leadership in ensuring engagements are commercially healthy and strategically valuable.
- Identify opportunities to expand client partnerships through additional services, strategic initiatives, and long term growth planning.
- Use agency approved AI tools where useful to support forecasting, resource planning, documentation, and operational efficiencies.
Team Leadership
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and support to Client Partnerships and Project Management team members.
- Help foster a collaborative, high accountability culture built around problem solving, ownership, and continuous improvement.
- Act as an escalation point for both internal and client challenges, helping teams navigate complexity with confidence and clarity.
- Contribute to building a scalable, modern client services model that supports agency growth across international markets.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field
- 8+ years experience within an advertising, integrated marketing, or creative agency environment.
- Proven experience leading senior client relationships and growing accounts commercially.
- Entrepreneurial, proactive, and comfortable operating with autonomy.
- A self-starter who can build momentum independently while staying closely connected to a broader global team.
- Resourceful, solutions focused, and energised by the opportunity to help build and shape a growing business.
- Strong commercial awareness and experience managing budgets, forecasting, and profitability.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders confidently.
- Comfort working in a fast paced environment while balancing strategic thinking with hands on delivery.
- Experience working across international or global accounts, as well as across integrated marketing, including brand, digital, media, creative, and strategy.
