We are seeking Direct Support Professionals to work in the Lancaster, Buckeye Lake and Mount Vernon, Ohio area. Someone that will care for our clients and encourage them to live independent, productive lives. The direct support professional will follow guidelines and specific instructions pertaining to individual client's, support, treatments, and care.

Description

  • Develop a positive rapport while serving as a role model to create a safe and caring environment
  • Teach skills to individuals served that increase independence such as eating, cooking and bathing
  • Work independent or with co-workers to enhance the growth of individuals served
  • Document data displaying the individual served goals and progression
  • Assist in finding and participating in meaningful community activities
  • Protect and honor the rights of people with disabilities
  • Ensure a safe and clean home for people served
  • Be patient, reliable, and professional


Qualifications:

  • High school diploma
  • Ability to pass and maintain State of Ohio DODD training
  • Ability to obtain and maintain First Aid, CPR - adult
  • Valid Ohio Driver's License (No more than five points on driving record)
  • Reliable transportation
  • Ability to pass a background check with the requirements of the State of Ohio Department of Developmental Disability.

Salary

$13 - $14 per hour
