Launched in 2021, Amethyst Operations is a People / Operations firm that specializes in providing day-to-day support and project completion for organizations seeking greater operations capacity. Founded by Amanda Qualls and Sarah Monte, Amethyst grew out of the 2020 presidential election cycle, where Sarah and Amanda met on Pete Buttigieg's presidential campaign. During the cycle, the founders recognized that the operations function was often an oversight—not just in campaign-world, but in nonprofits and small businesses everywhere. Amethyst seeks to bring People / Operations expertise to all sorts of entities that may not otherwise have the ability to build a robust, experienced operations function in-house. We work with political organizations and ideologically aligned entities throughout the country, and we have a remote first culture.
