About American Motion Systems, Inc.

AMS is a company that has emerged from the invaluable expertise and collaborative efforts of top engineers in the motor design and manufacturing industry, with a strong focus on the space sector. With decades of experience behind us, our mission is centered around making space more accessible to New Space companies. The high cost of space components—including motors—has been a major barrier to space exploration and development. Traditionally, motors used in space applications have been custom-designed and built to meet the stringent requirements of space environments. This has resulted in high development costs and long lead times, making it difficult for many organizations to undertake space missions. AMS is tackling this challenge by developing a line of space-qualified standard motors that are pre-engineered, tested, and qualified for use in space applications. These motors are designed to meet the unique requirements of space environments, including extreme temperatures, and vacuum. By using AMS space-qualified standard motors, organizations can significantly reduce the cost and time required to develop and launch space missions. This allows for more frequent and affordable access to space, enabling a wider range of organizations to participate in space exploration and development.
