Description

We are looking for a motivated and experienced Lead Service Technician to support our growing service department. This role is ideal for a strong technician who is ready to take the next step into leadership and management. Along with performing advanced service work, this position will assist with operational responsibilities including pricebook updates, spiff management, technician support, and process improvement while developing toward a future Service Manager role.

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostics, repairs, maintenance, and service calls
  • Serve as a senior technical resource for service technicians
  • Assist with maintaining and updating the company pricebook
  • Help manage technician spiffs and incentive tracking
  • Support service department efficiency and workflow improvements
  • Maintain high standards of customer service and professionalism
  • Assist with training and mentoring newer technicians
  • Ensure accurate job documentation and communication
  • Promote company culture, accountability, and team development
  • Work closely with leadership to grow into a Service Manager position

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of service technician experience
  • Strong troubleshooting and technical skills
  • Leadership mindset with desire to advance into management
  • Organized and detail-oriented
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Experience with service software, flat-rate pricing, or pricebooks preferred
  • Ability to mentor and support team members
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

Preferred Experience

  • Experience with spiff or incentive program tracking
  • Familiarity with ServiceTitan or similar service platforms
  • Previous lead technician or supervisory experience
  • HVAC/service industry experience preferred

Salary

$80,000 - $150,000 per year
