Description

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for educating and empowering individuals, particularly those with developmental disabilities and autism. This role involves supervision and providing support to adults with developmental disabilities and autism that will enhance their lifestyles and independence. The Instructor will play a crucial role in fostering an inclusive environment that promotes learning and growth.

Duties

  • Develop and implement educational programs tailored to individuals with autism and developmental disabilities.
  • Provide transportation with reliable personal vehicle to individuals with intellectual disabilities.
  • Educate participants on essential skills for job readiness, including interviewing techniques and workplace etiquette.
  • To supervise and assist consumers with activities out in the community such as internship, pre-employment, volunteer work programs, social skills, life skills, physical fitness, education through community colleges, and financial awareness.

Requirements

  • CPR and First-aid Certification required
  • Possess reliable vehicle with valid Registration, Insurance, and Driver’s License
  • Must pass the background, TB and physical test
  • Ability to create an inclusive, supportive, and engaging learning environment
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to convey information
  • A commitment to continuous professional development in relevant areas

Preferred

  • Experience working with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities is highly desirable.
