Description

The Volunteer will assist with day-to-day administrative and outreach tasks to ensure smooth and efficient operations. This position also covers volunteers is vital in supporting the organization’s mission by helping staff stay organized, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring timely communication with clients, donors, and volunteers. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and passionate about serving single mothers and their children.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Communicate with companies to introduce the organization’s mission and explore opportunities for corporate sponsorship, volunteer engagement, or in-kind support.
  • Draft and prepare professional documents, such as partnership proposals, volunteer orientation materials, event itineraries, and informational packets.
  • Input and maintain data in spreadsheets or databases (e.g., client records, donations).
  • Help prepare and distribute materials for programs, events, or outreach.
  • Maintain regular communication with current and prospective partners and volunteers via phone, email, or written correspondence.
  • Assemble care packages, resource kits, or welcome folders.
  • Support the volunteer placement process by tracking applications, confirming completion of required training, and maintaining volunteer records.
  • Assist in planning, coordinating, and executing organizational events, including registration, logistics, scheduling, and volunteer management.
  • Other duties as assigned

TIME COMMITMENT:

  • Flexible; typically, 5–10 hours per week depending on availability and need.

 

LOCATION:

  • Some tasks may be completed remotely, depending on the role and supervision.

  

SUPPORT & SUPERVISION:

  • Volunteers will be supervised by the Office Manager / Volunteer Lead / Program Director and provided with orientation and ongoing support.
