Key Responsibilities:

1.     Direct Client Services

·   Conduct psychosocial assessments, diagnostic evaluations, and formulate treatment plans.

·   Provide individual, group, and family therapy using culturally competent and trauma-informed approaches.

 

2.     Case Management & Coordination

·   Collaborate with case managers, psychiatrists, primary care providers, and external agencies (e.g., housing services, schools, legal systems) to ensure holistic care.

·   Support clients in accessing social services, benefits, and community resources.

 

3.     Crisis Response

·   Conduct suicide risk assessments, safety planning, and brief crisis interventions as needed.

 

4.     Documentation & Compliance

·   Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation in accordance with CMHC standards and state/federal guidelines.

 

5.     Teamwork & Professional Development

·   Participate in weekly clinical team meetings, supervision, and training programs.

·   Contribute to a supportive, trauma-informed, and anti-oppressive work environment.

 

Required Qualifications:

·   Pursuing a Master’s/Doctorate degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, from an accredited program.

·   Pursuing licensure in Maryland or District of Columbia.

·   Strong clinical formulation, engagement, and intervention skills.

·   Cultural humility with profound understanding of structural and systemic inequities affecting marginalized populations.

·   Ability to learn Electronic Health Records (EHRs) and documentation practices.
