Description

Role Summary:

Volunteer Child Services staff support the safety, development, and well-being of children participating in programs or services. Volunteers assist with activities, supervision, and positive engagement in a nurturing environment.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support children during structured and unstructured activities
  • Assist with age-appropriate educational, recreational, or enrichment programs
  • Help maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment
  • Follow organizational child safety policies and procedures
  • Communicate respectfully with children, parents/guardians, and staff
  • Report concerns or incidents promptly to supervisors

Desired Skills & Qualifications:

  • Enjoy working with children of various ages
  • Patience, empathy, and positive communication skills
  • Ability to follow guidance and safety protocols
  • Background check completion (required)


SUPPORT & SUPERVISION:

  • Volunteers will be supervised by the [Office Manager / Volunteer Coordinator / Program Director] and provided with orientation and ongoing support.
