We are seeking an experienced and motivated Analyst, Database I in Columbia, South Carolina for a role that will involve identifying and resolving information flow, content issues, and transforming business requirements into logical data models. The duration of this role is from October 2, 2023, through April 1, 2024, with the rate of $37 per hour W2 with benefits. This role is essential in supporting our database systems' development, maintenance, and security.

- Work Schedule: 40 hours per week, 8 hours per day.
- Location: Hybrid/Columbia, South Carolina (minimum 3 days onsite)
Key Duties:
- Analyze and develop logical or physical database designs (30%).
- Identify opportunities to reduce data redundancy (30%).
- Plan and audit security policies (15%).
- Troubleshoot application performance problems (10%).
- Conduct end-user training as required.
Skills and Experience:
Required:
- DB2 DATABASE ADMINISTRATION
- SHELL SCRIPTING
- SQL
- LINUX/UNIX
- PERFORMANCE TUNING
Preferred:
- Java or PHP experience
- ETL and Federation
- Security Admin / System Admin
- Performance Tuning
Educational and Work Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Alternatively, 4 years of related work experience or 2 years of experience combined with an associate's degree.
- 5 years of IT experience, including varied database administration experience
Work Environment:
The role will operate in a fast-paced, multi-platform environment that may require 24x7 responses to support our technical business needs.
