Position Overview

The Head of Commercialization will be responsible for ALTR’s customer sales and deployment of ALTR FLTR's cutting-edge dealcoholization technology. This role demands expertise in technology scale-up, B2B sales, logistics, regulatory compliance, and partnership development. 


This is a core leadership role within ALTR and will partner with the CEO, making and guiding both strategic decisions and implementation of customer solutions. 

The ideal candidate will be pivotal in driving early adoption, so they must have the ability to build confidence with their background in the successful implementation and growth of technology in food and beverage production. They will collaborate with both the internal technology development team and be the connection point to the customer implementation.

Key Responsibilities -

Sales, Planning, and Deployment of ALTR Technology and Production Hubs

Strong experience in the functional scale-up of technology businesses and deployment into food and beverage environments. 


  • Lead B2B customer sales and implementation with wineries. 
  • Plan and manage the development of our production centers in Napa and drive international growth. 
  • Develop and implement business and growth strategy as part of the leadership team.
  • Develop business and pricing models and customer deals. 
  • Partner with the ALTR Technology and business teams to set customer requirements. 
  • Oversee the design and build process of our machines and facilities to align with ALTR’s and customers’ goals. 
  • Manage logistics and supply chain which can flexibly adapt to customer demand.
  • Ensure that team, logistics, and system processes are in place for rapid scale up. 
  • Manage relationships with production partners and suppliers. 


Requirements

  • 15+ years in food and technology sales and/or operations.
  • Demonstrable track record of business growth.
  • Experience in Food and Beverage, or liquid processing Technology
  • Experience with highly technical systems.
  • Understanding of alcoholic beverage regulations in the US and ideally internationally.
  • Operational mindset with the ability to develop systems and processes.
  • Enjoys working at both strategic and hands on levels at a startup.
