Position Overview

The Lead Psychologist serves as a clinical leader within Aloha Psych’s Integrated Behavioral Health and Geriatric Specialty services. This role blends direct clinical care with leadership, interdisciplinary collaboration, and support of evidence-based treatment approaches within a medical-model framework. The position supports the quality, consistency, and growth of services for older adults and medically complex populations.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Care & Integrated Services

Provide brief, evidence-based behavioral health interventions within a Primary Care Behavioral Health (PCBH) model.

Support warm handoffs and collaborative treatment planning with medical providers.

Deliver biopsychosocial interventions for patients with chronic, complex, or medically related conditions.

Provide psychotherapy and neurocognitive screening support for older adults and caregivers.

Lead treatment strategies for complex clinical presentations using evidence-based modalities.

Collaboration & Leadership

Collaborate closely with medical providers, care teams, and prescribing clinicians (non-prescribing role).

Serve as a clinical resource for integrated care and geriatric specialty services.

Support consistency, quality, and best practices across integrated behavioral health workflows.

Documentation & Compliance

Maintain timely, accurate, and compliant clinical documentation.

Ensure adherence to HIPAA, privacy regulations, and professional standards of care.

Participate in process improvements supporting clinical quality and service delivery.

Qualifications

Required

- Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Clinical or Counseling Psychology.

- Active, unrestricted license to practice psychology in the State of California.

- Experience or formal training in Integrated Behavioral Health or Health Psychology.

- Clinical experience working with older adult populations.

- Strong clinical judgment, collaboration, and communication skills.

Preferred

- Postdoctoral Master of Science in Clinical Psychopharmacology (MSCP).

- ABPP Board Certification in Clinical Health Psychology and/or Geropsychology.

- Experience working in medical, primary care, or integrated health settings.

- Bilingual proficiency (Spanish or other languages relevant to the local community).

Compensation & Schedule

Salary Range: $140,000–$180,000 annually, depending on experience, credentials, and demonstrated capability.
