We're looking for a detail-oriented QA Engineer to join our team on a contract basis. You'll be responsible for making sure our platform meets high-quality standards, testing across the sales, office automation, and production workflows our customers rely on every day, before features reach them.

QA Engineer (Contract)


Contract | Remote / Hybrid

Department: Technology

Reports To: CTO


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Execute test cases across the Allmoxy platform, including online ordering and configuration, customer portal, office automation, payments, and production/shop floor workflows
  • Identify, document, and track software defects using our bug tracking system
  • Collaborate with the development team to reproduce and troubleshoot issues
  • Create detailed, well-structured test plans and test cases
  • Perform regression testing to ensure new changes don't impact existing functionality
  • Validate user stories against acceptance criteria
  • Test integrations such as SSO login and payment processing (e.g., Stripe) for reliability and security
  • Participate in stand-ups and sprint planning as needed
  • Generate test reports and metrics for the engineering team


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2+ years of experience in software testing, preferably in SaaS environments
  • Strong understanding of QA methodologies and best practices
  • Experience with bug tracking and test management tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail)
  • Knowledge of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and API testing
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in an Agile development environment
  • Comfortable in a small company where priorities shift and everyone wears multiple hats


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience testing cloud-based applications
  • Familiarity with automated testing concepts and tools
  • Understanding of version control systems (Git)
  • Experience with SSO, payment integrations (e.g., Stripe), or reporting/data features
  • Experience in manufacturing, woodworking, millwork, or similar trade industries


COMPENSATION

Contract rate: Hourly, depending on experience
