As a Criminal Research Specialist (CRS), you will be integral to our team, focusing on conducting thorough investigations into criminal records and background information. Your role involves utilizing advanced research techniques and databases to gather and verify criminal history data, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal standards.
Responsibilities:
Conduct Comprehensive Research: Perform detailed searches of public and private databases to gather and verify criminal records, ensuring thoroughness and accuracy.
Analyze and Interpret Data: Review and analyze criminal records and related documents to provide clear and accurate reports.
Verify Information: Initiate and manage contact with relevant institutions and agencies for verification of criminal history and other background information.
Data Management: Input and maintain accurate criminal record data within internal systems, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
Compliance: Ensure all criminal research activities adhere to legal and regulatory requirements, as well as client-specific guidelines.
Client Communication: Handle inquiries from clients and candidates, providing information and updates as necessary.
Workflow Management: Prioritize and manage workload efficiently to meet deadlines and deliver timely results.
Support Team Operations: Provide backup support to team members and assist with other background screening tasks as needed.
Stay Informed: Keep up-to-date with industry best practices, legal changes, and new research methodologies to continuously improve processes.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or Equivalent; some college or technical college coursework preferred.
2+ years of customer service experience preferred.
Knowledge of background checks, pre-employment screening, or human resources.
Detail-oriented, resourceful, and adept at problem-solving.
Experience with remote work preferred.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and internet search engines.

Hours: Monday - Friday 11:00am- 8:00pm EST
