We’re hiring a part-time Budtender with strong customer service skills and experience in either cannabis retail or fashion retail. You should be personable, professional, a quick thinker, and thrive in high-pressure, high-volume environments. This role is ideal for someone who’s passionate about cannabis, understands the importance of compliance, and is comfortable with technology and point-of-sale (POS) systems. All applicants must be 21 and up.
Responsibilities:
- Guide customers through product selection based on needs and legal limits
- Operate the POS system accurately and efficiently during high-volume shifts
- Ensure full compliance with New York State cannabis laws and regulations
- Check and verify customer IDs (must be 21+), following all age and purchase-limit protocols
- Provide clear product knowledge and cannabis education to a diverse customer base
- Maintain store cleanliness, organization, and visual presentation
- Assist with inventory tracking and restocking
- Collaborate with teammates and support a smooth, efficient retail environment
- Solve problems quickly and calmly under pressure
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in cannabis retail or fashion retail strongly preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Tech-savvy; comfortable using a POS and retail software
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and think on your feet
- Reliable, punctual, and a true team player
- Comfortable working evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Must be 21+ and legally eligible to work in New York State
- Familiarity with New York State cannabis compliance (or willingness to learn quickly)
