Loc Stylist — All About Locs Salon
Full-Time | Commission + Guarantee (while you build your book) | Loc Maintenance Specialty
About Us
All About Locs Salon isn't just another salon — we're a team of 5 built around one thing: giving every guest a loc routine that's actually personalized to them, backed by real education, not guesswork. Walk through our doors and you'll feel it immediately: welcoming, safe, a little luxurious, and genuinely kind. That's not a tagline. That's Tuesday.
We're not looking for a chair to fill. We're looking for someone who wants to be part of a team where there's room for everybody to win.
What You'll Do
- Provide loc maintenance services — retwists, styling, and full loc care — for a growing client base
- Build and follow a personalized routine for each guest, using our training and systems (no prior loc experience required — we'll teach you)
- Educate clients on at-home care so their locs thrive between visits
- Show up for your team — not just your chair. If a teammate needs a hand, you're in.
What You Need
- Current cosmetology license
- No loc experience necessary — we have a full training path to get you there
- A coachable attitude. You'll hear "how can I" more than "I can't" around here, and we need that from you too
- Willingness to go through our full training process before jumping ahead — we've seen what happens when people skip steps, and it doesn't end well
What We're NOT Looking For
Real talk: this isn't the role for someone who already "knows it all," wants to do things their own way, or isn't a team player. We've been there before — it doesn't work, and we're not doing it again. If you're coachable, humble, and want to grow, keep reading.
Compensation
- Commission-based pay, with a guarantee/base while you build your clientele
- Realistic year-one take-home: $800–$1,200/week once established
- A real career path — we're actively building growth opportunities, not just handing you a chair and a "good luck"
Our Culture, In Practice
- We are all in this together. No lone wolves.
- We welcome feedback, even when it's uncomfortable. You'll be coached, and we expect you to coach back.
- We choose what's right over what's easy. Every time.
- Kind feedback, patient hearts. Everyone's fighting their own battle — we treat each other (and our guests) accordingly.
- Own it, fix it, reset. When something goes wrong, the answer is never "I can't." It's "how can I."
Who Thrives Here
Someone kind, patient, and respectful with clients. Someone who shows up ready to serve — not just their guests, but their team. Someone who, when something goes sideways, leans in to fix it instead of making excuses. Positive energy, upbeat, and hungry to be the best at what they do.
If that's you, we want to talk.
