Overview
As a Leasing Agent at Ansel Apartments, you will be the primary driver of revenue performance at a 160-unit multi-family community in one of San Francisco's most sought-after neighborhoods. You are the first introduction to the resident experience — responsible for converting qualified prospects into signed leases, executing a consistent and high-quality tour program, and managing the full resident lifecycle from application through move-in. Your ability to maintain strong occupancy, process applications efficiently, and deliver an exceptional first impression directly determines the property's rent roll and long-term pricing power.

Ansel Apartments is a 160-unit multi-family community located in Hayes Valley, San Francisco — a vibrant, walkable neighborhood known for its boutique dining, arts scene, and proximity to transit. Managed by Align Real Estate Management (AREM), Ansel is operated to institutional standards with a focus on resident experience, operational precision, and sustained rent growth.
Key Responsibilities
Leasing & Occupancy
- Maintain property occupancy at or above 95% through active prospect engagement, pipeline management, and timely follow-up.
- Conduct structured, consistent property tours that achieve post-tour feedback scores of 4.0–5.0.
- Respond to all new inquiries within one business day and maintain accurate, current CRM records at every pipeline stage.
Application Processing
- Process rental applications accurately and in compliance with fair housing law and AREM screening policy, with decisions communicated within 72 hours of complete submission.
Move-In & Move-Out Coordination
- Confirm all move-in and move-out logistics with residents no later than 72 hours before the scheduled event.
- Complete and submit move-in and move-out inspection checklists in Yardi within 72 hours of each event.
Revenue & Rent Growth
- Drive rent growth at or above market rate by generating consistent leasing demand through tour volume and quality.
- Stay current on market comps and neighborhood trends to support informed pricing conversations with the Property Manager.
Lease Administration & Compliance
- Prepare and execute lease agreements accurately and in compliance with company policy, local regulations, and fair housing law.
Qualifications
- 1–2 years of experience in leasing, sales, or customer-facing roles; multi-family residential experience preferred.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills — professional, warm, and effective in person, by phone, and in writing.
- Proficiency in Yardi or comparable property management software; comfort with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Working knowledge of California fair housing laws and regulations.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple active files simultaneously.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree in business, hospitality, or a related field is a plus.
Compensation & Benefits
- $31.25 – $36.06/hr ($65,000 – $75,000 annually) · Full-time
