The Treatment Director reports to the Administrator; Licensed Child Care Administrator (LCCA). The Treatment Director will provide leadership for the overall treatment program, ensuring all staff adhere to the Trust Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) model. This includes comprehensive ongoing training, coordination, and coaching of TBRI. The Treatment Director will also lead the admissions and treatment teams, ensuring a cohesive and effective approach to care.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in providing therapy services to children with behavioral and/or emotional disorders, a deep understanding of Residential Childcare licensing and standards
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Develop and assist in crafting preliminary treatment plans for individual children.
- Participate in diagnostic assessments and initial treatment planning, subject to review and approval by the treatment team.
- Ensure compliance of children's files, incident reports, therapy notes, and restraint reports with regulatory standards.
- Oversee the overall treatment program and ensure it adheres to the TBRI model.
- Provide ongoing training, coordination, and coaching for staff on TBRI.
- Lead the admissions and treatment teams to ensure effective and cohesive care.
- Ensure the treatment program is youth-specific, goal-oriented, and tailored to meet each child's individual therapeutic, educational, social, and developmental needs.
- Maintain a high standard of care and adherence to regulatory standards.
Experience:
- Two year of experience delivering treatment services to children with emotional disorders, including one year in a residential setting.
- Experience with children diagnosed with emotional, intellectual, and developmental disabilities (Preferred)
Education:
- Master's or doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or related field
License/Certification:
- Licensed Master social worker,
- Licensed Clinical social worker,
- Licensed Professional counselor, or
- Licensed marriage and family therapist
Requirements:
- Current LPC licensure in the state of Texas.
- Extensive clinical experience working with children and adolescents, including expertise in trauma-informed care and crisis intervention.
- Candidate must meet defined requirements for the Treatment Director as defined by Texas Health and Human Services Minimum Standards for General Residential Operations
- Cleared criminal background check including FBI fingerprinting
- Cleared TB test results (current within 12 months prior to employment)
- Cleared drug screen
- Proof of valid Texas Driver's License (Type C)
