This role supports the daily operation of the museum’s brand-new virtual reality experience. This role is responsible for guiding visitors through the experience, ensuring equipment is used safely, maintaining VR hardware, and delivering engaging explanations that enhance the educational value of the exhibit.
Airborne and Special Operations Museum Foundation is a small 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization in Fayetteville, NC. We provide community outreach and fundraising efforts in support of the ongoing mission of the of the U.S. Army Airborne & Special Operations Museum. Located in downtown Fayetteville, N.C., the Museum is part of the Army Museum Enterprise and is managed by the U.S. Army Center of Military History. The Foundation conducts private and public fundraising to sustain the Museum’s mission, ongoing programs, and future innovative exhibit development.
This role supports the daily operation of the museum’s brand-new virtual reality experience. This role is responsible for guiding visitors through the experience, ensuring equipment is used safely, maintaining VR hardware, and delivering engaging explanations that enhance the educational value of the exhibit. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic about technology, comfortable interacting with visitors of all ages, and able to troubleshoot basic technical issues.
This position is located at 100 Bragg Blvd. in Fayetteville, NC. The museum is open Tuesdays – Saturdays, 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and Sundays, 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM. This position will include shifts on both weekdays and weekends.
$14 - $16 per hour
