HVAC Service Technician / HVAC-R Technician

Air Zone Plus LLC is hiring an experienced HVAC Service Technician with 3–5 years of hands-on experience in residential and light-commercial HVAC. The ideal candidate can diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and install HVAC systems independently while providing honest, professional customer service.

Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair residential and light-commercial HVAC systems
• Perform HVAC change-outs, system replacements, and new-construction installations
• Install condensers, furnaces, air handlers, coils, thermostats, ductwork, drain lines, and refrigerant lines
• Perform preventive maintenance, startup, testing, refrigerant charging, airflow checks, and quality-control inspections
• Read wiring diagrams, schematics, equipment manuals, and installation instructions
• Diagnose electrical, mechanical, airflow, refrigerant, drainage, thermostat, and control issues
• Service walk-in coolers, freezers, and ice machines as assigned
• Complete accurate service notes, photos, invoices, and job documentation
• Maintain a clean company vehicle, tools, and jobsite
• Communicate clearly with customers and team members
• Participate in on-call, overtime, and emergency service as needed

Requirements: must have tools and transportation valid drivers license and be able to pass a background check

• 3–5 years of HVAC or HVAC/R service, repair, and installation experience
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
• Experience with HVAC system change-outs and new-construction installation
• Experience with walk-in coolers and ice machines preferred
• Current EPA Section 608 Universal Certification required
• Valid Texas driver’s license and acceptable driving record
• Ability to work in attics, crawl spaces, rooftops, and outdoor conditions
• Ability to lift HVAC tools, equipment, and materials safely
• Professional attitude, dependable attendance, and strong customer-service skills
